INTER MILAN are reportedly weighing-up a move to sign Manchester United’s Anthony Martial.
The Serie A giants are likely to be in the market for a new striker once the summer transfer window re-opens.
Star man Lautaro Martinez has a host of clubs chasing his services with Barcelona leading the chase.
And Gazzetta dello Sport now claim Inter boss Antonio Conte has identified the French forward as the ideal replacement for Argentinian.
Martial has been in superb form for United this term following the departures of both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to the San Siro last August.
Since his arrival from Monaco in 2015, Martial had mostly operated down the left of the United attack.
However, he has been deployed as a central striker this campaign, and his displays have fully rewarded the faith shown in him by his manager. The 24-year-old has scored 16 goals in 34 appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
He was also man of the match during United’s last game before the coronavirus outbreak caused the suspension of the season.
That was the Manchester Derby, and he added another goal to his CV as the Red Devils claimed local bragging rights with a 2-0 win.
But Martial is not the only frontman Inter are believed to be on Inter’s transfer wishlist.
They could be set for a tussle with Liverpool for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
