Jadon Sancho on the Verge of Dortmund Loan as £30m Chelsea Star Set to Join Man Utd Flop

A Potential Loan Deal

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho could be leaving the club in a matter of hours to go back to Borussia Dortmund. The two clubs are currently negotiating a six-month loan deal that could bring in a fee of approximately £3 million for United. The deal is also expected to involve discussions about how much of Sancho's £270,000-a-week wages will be covered by the Old Trafford club.

Possible Return to Dortmund

If all goes well, there may be a clause in the loan deal that allows Sancho to return to Dortmund permanently. The cost of the transfer would depend on his performances and form during his time at Dortmund. However, if Sancho were to return, it would be a significant financial blow for United.

Dortmund's Desperation

In addition to the Sancho deal, Dortmund is also looking to sign Chelsea's Ian Maatsen for £30 million. The German club is eager to bring back Sancho and wants him to join their mid-season training break in Marbella, which begins next week.

The Fallout with United

Sancho fell out of favor with United manager Erik ten Hag four months ago after accusing him of lying about his performance in training sessions. Despite not apologizing, Sancho's exile from the team has resulted in him being frozen out of the United setup. Prior to his banishment, Sancho scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 82 appearances, although he struggled for consistency. In contrast, he had a highly successful stint at Dortmund, scoring 50 goals and providing 64 assists in 137 games.

Impending Confirmation

United is hopeful that Sancho's departure will be officially confirmed within the next two days. The 23-year-old has not played for the club since August and was dropped from the squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.
