Jesse Lingard to Newcastle and Alexis Sanchez to Tottenham as Man Utd raise funds for £110m Jadon Sancho transfer

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER is ready to offload stars Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez as Manchester United raise the funds for Jadon Sancho’s £110million transfer this summer.

The United boss can get £35m for Lingard, with Newcastle among those interested once their takeover is completed.

Jesse Lingard could be sold by Manchester United to fund their £110m transfer of Jadon Sancho

But the key would be getting rid of striker Sanchez and his £505,000-a-week wages, with the striker linked to Tottenham.

Reports suggest United will sell both if the right offers come in.

The duo are not the only players that could be sold by Old Trafford chiefs this summer.

Solskjaer can tighten his squad by selling the likes of defender Diogo Dalot and midfielder Nemanja Matic.

He could also consider selling Juventus target Paul Pogba for £80m – which the board would prefer him to do if the Frenchman does not sign a contract extension.

Chelsea have also been linked with a £50m move for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

But bringing in Sancho from Borussia Dortmund is the prize for Solskjaer.

The Norwegian wants to play the England winger up front with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in a front three which he believes can give United the edge in the title race next season.

Solskjaer is determined to knock Liverpool back off their perch next term.

The title winners are an incredible 37 points ahead of United with seven matches still to go.
