Jesse Lingards JLINGZ fashion line loses 200k in first year after criticism from Man Utd legends

JESSE LINGARDS brand lost over 200,000 in its first year of business.

Manchester United star Lingard was criticised for launching a clothing line produced by his JLINGZ company in the week before his team faced Liverpool last December.

Lingard’s company was slammed by a host of Man Utd legends

Documents lodged at Companies House show that JLINGZ, in a period of just over 12 months up until January 31 this year, made a loss of 211,688.

But it had only been selling merchandise for six months at that point, so the figures may pick up in the current year.

Shortly before the 2018 World Cup, Lingard applied for four JLINGZ trademarks to cover clothing, footwear and headgear plus the symbol of his goal celebration.

The first products went on sale that summer.

Speaking before the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in December 2018, former United captain Roy Keane said: If there was a good strong dressing room that wouldnt be tolerated.

Gary Neville added: Ive got no problem with him launching a clothes range.

But before Liverpool away the biggest match of the season dont launch a clothes brand.

Lingard, 26, has failed to score this season and made just ten appearances.

Last month United chief Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told Lingard to focus on improving his displays on the pitch.

Uniteds star will be hoping that the company performs better, too.
