John Terry buys £4.35million mansion just yards away from Wayne Bridge after ‘seducing’ his ex in 2010

JOHN Terry has bought a £4.35million mansion close to the home of a former team-mate he was alleged to have done the dirty on.

The former England and Chelsea captain is now a neighbour of former Blues full back Wayne Bridge, 39.

Both houses look out on to open Surrey countryside.

In 2010 married Terry was said to have wooed Vanessa Perroncel — mother of Bridge’s son Jaydon — weeks after the couple split.

It was claimed that Terry seduced her as he comforted her after the break-up. Initially, details were hushed up with a super-injunction, but that was lifted after a week.

The rumour sparked tensions in the England squad, with Bridge withdrawing ahead of the Three Lions’ poor showing in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. They crashed out in the second round after only just scraping through the group stage.

Bridge moved to Manchester City — and famously refused to shake hands with Terry when they lined up for a Premier League game.

Bridge met French model Vanessa, now 41, in 2005 and they spent four years together.

She has always denied any relationship with Terry, 38.

Bridge wed The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford in 2014.

Terry is now assistant manager with Aston Villa, having bought his new seven-bedroom house, set in eight acres of woodland, in the summer.

A source said: “It’s going to be pretty hard for them not to bump into each other. They are literally just a few minutes walk apart. It could make an awkward meeting.’’

Since retiring from playing, Terry has also set himself up as a successful property developer and shares the 18th-century house with his wife Toni.

It has a library, study, swimming pool and tennis court and also has stables for keen rider Toni to keep her horses.

The stone and flint manor house was built in 1752. Period features include a metal spiral staircase and a large ornate fireplace.

Bridge, who has retired from football, bought his property with Frankie Sandford two years ago. It is a similar design to Terry’s.
