THE dad of ex-England football skipper John Terry has been caught more than twice the drink-drive limit.
Ted Terry was in an Audi A4 stopped by traffic cops on the A6 in Basildon, Essex.
A breath test returned a reading of 74micrograms of alcohol per 100millilitres of breath.
The limit is 35mg.
Terry, 66, of Grays, admitted drink driving before Southend JPs.
He was banned for 18 months and must pay costs and fines of £600.
A source told SE on Sunday: “He was well over the limit and needs to grow up.”
It is the latest controversy for Ted who has a previous conviction for cocaine dealing.
His son is now assistant boss at Aston Villa and the source added: “John still holds a high-profile position and is well respected, but Ted just acts like an idiot.”
