Josh Kroenke’s positive response when told to make ambitious Jude Bellingham transfer swoop by fan

JOSH KROENKE, son of Arsenal owner Stan, issued a positive response to a fan’s call to ambitiously sign Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jude Bellingham.

The son of the American billionaire serves as a director for the North Londoners and has overseen a busy summer of transfer activity.

An Arsenal fan’s plea to sign Bellingham was well received by Josh Kroenke

Arsenal have already made a number of marquee signings this summer, including Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus.

And the transfer business is set to continue with the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City imminent.

However, fans would like to see Arsenal take their signings to the next level in order to achieve their ambitions of returning to the Champions League.

Gunners fan Aston Mack – who took part in the launch of the Gunners’ 2022/23 away kit and was a special guest for the 3-1 pre-season victory over Orlando City on Thursday – revealed his chat with the club’s hierarchy.

Mack was invited to the director’s box with Stan, son Josh, chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and technical director Edu.

The Arsenal fan says the Kroenkes made it clear they want to win at Arsenal.

Talking through his experience to fan channel AFTV, he said: “I was actually in the box with Stan, Josh, Vinai [Venkatesham, chief executive] and [technical director] Edu. It was cool.

“You know what’s interesting, I know we have a lot of feelings [towards] him, but Stan, he wants to win you know.

“He was talking about Champions League while we were in there.”

Mack then told the Kroenkes they can get the connection back with the fans if they ambitiously signed wonderkid Bellingham from Dortmund – which was well received by Josh, in particular.

He continued: “And I told him, ‘Listen, if you want to get us excited, if you really want to get that connection back, get us Bellingham. Really, really get us going and act like a big club again’.

“Josh was like, ‘I’m hearing you, I’m hearing you’. Josh was really into it.”

Unfortunately for Arsenal, they’d face stiff competition from club’s better placed than themselves.

Liverpool, Manchester United and a number of elite clubs on mainland Europe have registered an interest in the player.

Bellingham has made 149 professional appearances, despite being just 19, with 15 of those coming on the international stage for England.
