Jurgen Klopp BANNED from touchline in Liverpool’s clash with Southampton after FA win appeal

JURGEN KLOPP has been banned from the touchline for Liverpool’s game against Southampton after the FA won an appeal.

The case relates to the Reds manager shouting at a match official during his team’s clash against Manchester City last month.

Klopp will serve a touchline ban after his behaviour last month

He will now miss the chance to be on the touchline for Liverpool’s final game before the World Cup break at home against Southampton tomorrow.

But Liverpool have been left dismayed at the timing of the decision, according to The Times.

They were only alerted of Klopp’s ban at 6pm – just 21 hours before the match.

The German will now have to sit in the Anfield stands for the game rather than his usual position in the dugout.

Klopp was originally fined £30,000 independent regulatory commission.

But the FA believed a fine was too lenient after Klopp launched a tirade in the direction of assistant referee Gary Beswick and appealed.

Klopp’s anger came after Bernardo Silva was not penalised for a tackle on Mohamed Salah.
