JUVENTUS star Alvaro Morata has revealed he hopes to retire at Getafe one day, crediting his former club with making him the player he is today.
The Spanish star, 28, has played for Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea as well as Juve during his career.
But Morata has revealed he hopes to retire at Getafe – where he spent just ONE season as a youth team player.
The Spaniard started his youth career at Atletico Madrid in 2005, before moving to Getafe for the 2007-08 season.
Morata then spent two years in rivals Real Madrid‘s youth ranks before breaking into their first team.
In a merry-go-round of a career, he then moved to Juventus, before heading back to Real, then signing for Chelsea.
The 33-cap Spain star then headed back to Atletico before joining Juventus again – where he now plays, on loan from Los Rojiblancos.
Despite his obvious attachment to Atletico, Real and Juve, Morata has revealed his heart lies with Getafe.
Morata told Cadena Cope: “I would like the last shirt I wear to be Getafe.
“I have a very good relationship with the president and with the people there.
“I think that thanks to them I am the player that I am.”
Morata is under contract at Atletico Madrid until the end of the 2022-23 season.
At that time, the Spaniard will be approaching 31 years old and could be tempted to have one more stint at a European giant.
However, it could be he gives Getafe a good few years at the back-end of his career as a thank you for helping him as as youngster.
