Kalvin Phillips wanted by Man Utd, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG in huge summer transfer battle

KALVIN PHILLIPS is attracting interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs ahead of a transfer away from Leeds in the summer.

The England international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United at the end of the season.

But the Red Devils will face stiff competition if they are to secure the 26-year-old’s signature.

According to The Mail, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all keen to agree a deal for the midfielder.

His contract at Elland Road does not expire until 2024.

But he is thought to be craving Champions League football – something he will not be able to secure at the West Yorkshire club.

Liverpool have been linked with a £33.4million bid for him in the summer despite his lengthy deal with Leeds.

And reports in Spain have said Real Madrid have officially thrown their hat into the ring.

Phillips has not played a Premier League game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side since the beginning December due to a hamstring injury.

But that has not done anything to detract from the interest he has received from other clubs.

Earlier this week, SunSport revealed West Ham are set to break the bank by bidding £50m for his services.

Leeds are not looking to sell Phillips despite the threat of relegation back down to the Championship looming large over the club.

They currently sit just seven points above the drop zone as England’s top flight prepares to resume following the winter break.

However, if they are to let him go then it is thought the club would be more keen to sell him to a European outfit – rather than a Premier League rival.

There are also reports that Bielsa remains committed to eyeing up a deal for an extra midfielder – particularly given Phillips is yet to return from his hamstring operation.

Liverpool have rejected an approach from Leeds for Takumi Minamino – who is a potential loan option.

The Whites have also enquired about Chelsea’s Kenedy.
