Kiko Femenia’s wife Elena gives birth – nine months after he helped Watford to historic win over Liverpool

KIKO FEMENIA’S wife Elena Ortiz has given birth to a baby girl… nine months after the Spaniard helped Watford to a stunning 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Vicarage Road.

The Reds had arrived in Hertfordshire undefeated, having won 26 and drawn one of their 27 Premier League matches up that point.

Femenia played the full 90 minutes as the Hornets beat Liverpool 3-0
The Spaniard welcomed a child nine months later

But Nigel Pearson’s side battered them in a shocking result, with Femenia, 29, having played the full 90 minutes.

And the timing of Elena’s pregnancy has not gone unnoticed with some Hornets fans.

One wrote: “Congrats and congrats on Kiko to still have energy to rumpy pumpy after the Liverpool game”.

While another joked: “Deeney and Sarr weren’t the only ones that scored in that Liverpool game”.

Elena posted a snap on Instagram of her newborn appearing to take a little nap beneath a Watford branded blanket.

And she captioned the post, shared by the Hornets Twitter page: “Vamos papi @kikof.21 vamos @Watfordfcofficial”.

Unfortunately days like that 3-0 romp over Liverpool proved to be too few and far between for the Hornets last term, as they were relegated from the top-flight.

But Femenia remains at Watford in the Championship.

Femenia and Elena already have a child together

And such is his commitment to the cause, that he missed the birth of his child to play in the Hornets’ match against Nottingham Forest last night.

He played the full 90 minutes at left-back as they drew 0-0 at the City Ground.

The draw saw third-placed Hornets fail to climb above Bournemouth and Norwich into top spot.

But Femenia will surely be feeling on top of the world regardless, just as he did after that Liverpool match nine months ago.
