FRANK LAMPARD has revealed Chelsea will most likely be making NO signings on Deadline Day.

The Blues boss claims his clubs transfer window is 95 per cent shut.

Frank Lampard claims Chelsea’s Deadline Day is ’95 per cent done’

And there will be no dramatic move for wantaway striker Olivier Giroud.

That means there is no chance of Chelsea landing Napolis Dries Mertens, with the Premier League giants making a late move for the Belgian earlier this week.

Despite seeing top-four rivals strengthen during January, Chelsea have bizarrely opted against adding reinforcements despite fighting to have their global transfer ban cut in half.

Lampard was believed to be looking at bulking up in a number of areas.

Olivier Giroud will not be leaving Stamford Bridge this month

But his main source of concern was attack.

Chelsea have struggled to finish off sides this season, leading to a large number of dropped points.

And it was reckoned that the Blues would be signing at least one forward, allowing Euro 2020 hopeful Giroud to seek regular football elsewhere.

But Lampard now faces a dilemma until the end of the season, with Giroud sure to be upset with the situation and fans furious over a lack of spending.

Lampard confirms there’ll be no move for Napoli star Dries Mertens

Speaking ahead of the weekend clash with Leicester City, Lamps said: No [were not signing Mertens].

The window is probably 95 per cent shut for us.

So the answer will probably be no to the players Im guessing youll be asking about.

[Giroud going?] No. He has been incredible as a player and a man during this time.

Will he leave? No. He trained today. No ins and no outs.

Its my job to get the best out of all my players.

I wouldnt say Im frustrated. I wanted to bring players in, but I know how football has been.

Lampard also revealed Abraham could return sooner than expected from his ankle injury, adding: He trained today and he has felt OK.

We will test him in the morning. But it was a positive.
