Leeds fans chant for Marcelo Bielsa after just 80 SECONDS vs Aston Villa as crowd turns against new boss Jesse Marsch

LEEDS fans chanted for their former manager Marcelo Bielsa after just 80 SECONDS of the 3-0 home thrashing by Aston Villa.

And the tide seems to have already turned against his replacement Jesse Marsch after just two games – both defeats.

Jesse Marsch is already feeling the wrath of the Leeds fans

Bielsa was sacked after he secured just one point from a possible 18 in his last six matches.

The Yorkshire side moved quickly to appoint former RB Leipzig boss Marsch into the hotseat.

But judging by the scenes at Elland Road tonight, the American will have his work cut out to convince fans he is the answer.

The home crowd erupted into shouts of ‘oh, Marcelo Bielsa‘ after just more than a minute in.

This continued sporadically, becoming more prevalent as each Villa goal went in.

As the final whistle blew on a shocker of a performance from the Whites, the boos rang out loud from the stands.

TalkSPORT host Hugh Woozencroft described some more unsavoury incidents that went on.

He said: “At the end of the game here inside Elland Road there were some strong words directed at towards the directors box here.

“Victor Orta, their technical director and the rest of the suits, the hierarchy here at Leeds United.

“‘Oh Marcelo Bielsa’ is sung around Elland Road, they miss their former manager, they believed in him, they do not believe in Jesse Marsch.

“Half-an-hour before the end of the game one fan tore off their scarf with the Leeds colours and threw it at Jesse Marsch in the technical area, he turned round and noticed it, and he kicked the scarf.”

The result leaves Leeds in 16th and two points above the relegation zone, having played two games more than Burnley who sit third-bottom.
