Leeds have beaten AC Milan and Manchester United to secure the forward

England youth international Greenwood has shone for his country at Under-17 level.

He scored 12 goals in 14 matches and has also featured for the Young Lions at the 2019 European Championships.

That led to interest from Italian giants Milan and the Red Devils, but it was Leeds who have secured the talented teen’s services.

Arsenal brought the ace to the Emirates from Sunderland in July 2018.

After an impressive debut campaign for the Gunners’ U18s that produced ten goals and five assists he was rewarded with a professional contract last year.

Last season he found the net six times in 22 appearances for the club’s U18 and U23 sides.

Greenwood will now initially link up with the Leeds U23 squad.

He becomes the latest young player to join Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Leeds have already secured the arrivals of Charlie Allen, Cody Drameh, Joe Gelhardt and Dani van den Heuvel to their academy this summer.
