Leicester fans chanted youre getting sacked in the ebening at Emery then Arsenal fans joined in

LEICESTER fans taunted Unai Emery with chants of “you’re getting sacked in the ebening” – then Arsenal supporters joined in.

The Foxes faithful laid into the under-fire Gunners boss as they saw their side seal a comprehensive 2-0 win at the King Power.

It was a miserable ebening for Unai Emery as he saw his Arsenal side lose at Leicester and was mocked by the 32,000-strong crowd

As the rain poured down in the East Midlands, Emery’s mood would no doubt have been totally sodden as he saw his players struggle to cope with Brendan Rodgers’ men.

The humorous jibe was made in reference to the Arsenal boss’ determination to start every interview with a polite “good ebening” – with the Spaniard pronunciation of the letter “v” as a “b”.

And sure enough, as Emery spoke to Sky Sports after the full-time whistle, he began with his customary greeting.

It unsurprisingly left viewers watching on at home in hysterics as Emery tried to explain why his side failed to perform once again.

One person on Twitter said: “My man is saying Good Ebening when Leicester fans were signing your getting sacked in the Ebening.”

Another wrote: “Even after Leicester fans chant “You’re getting sacked in the ebening!” Emery can’t resist himself.”

And a third added: “World class chant by Leicester fans lmao.”

Goals from Jamie Vardy and James Maddison secured all three points for the home side last night as Leicester went second ahead of Manchester City’s trip to Liverpool.

In the interview with Sky Sports, Emery insisted his side need patience despite taking charge of his 50th Prem game since replacing Arsene Wenger last year.

He said: “We need time and we need patience.

“We changed a lot of players and we have young players. We know we are in a way with a very demanding, very ambitious in our target but we know we need time and patience.

“The most important thing is being calm, being ambitious and demanding our self to work and stand up in our mentality and in our work.”

Asked directly if he believed Arsenal were still behind him, Emery simply replied: “Yes.”

And according to reports this morning, the Gunners hierarchy have no plans to axe their manager and are thought to be 100 per cent behind the former Sevilla boss.

However, Arsenal fans are not quite so sympathetic as they feel Emery’s time should be up, with EmeryOut trending on Twitter and plenty calling for the boss to be given the boot.
