LEICESTER are reportedly set to enquire about £50million-rated Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
The Telegraph claims Brendan Rodgers is looking to launch a bid for the Spain international amid doubts over Kasper Schmeichel’s future.
Leicester are interested in signing Brighton’s £50m-rated goalie Robert Sanchez
The Dane, 35, is out of contract in 2023 and was dropped for Danny Ward in the 5-1 win at Watford.
Schmeichel is one of Leicester’s top earners on around £130,000-a-week.
And he is now set to hold talks over his future at the Midlands club.
But boss Rodgers is considering replacing him with Sanchez, 24, this summer, it’s claimed.
The former Forest Green loanee has emerged as one of the Premier League’s top stoppers.
And Sanchez even made his Spain debut earlier this season after being called up at the expense of Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga – the world’s most expensive goalie at £72m.
Rodgers is said to be a huge fan of Sanchez, who also has other admirers in the top flight.
However, Brighton are reluctant to part ways with one of their key players.

And Graham Potter is expected to demand at least £50m for Sanchez’s services.
Leicester would need to sell a few players to raise sufficient funds.
And Schmeichel’s future is now under the spotlight despite his place in Leicester City folklore.
The son of Manchester United legend Peter has been at the King Power Stadium since 2011.
Schmeichel has gone on to make 477 appearances in that time.
And he was a key figure in the title-winning side of 2016.
