LEICESTER CITY’S Wesley Fofana has reluctantly ruled himself out of the European Under-21 Championships after damaging his hamstring against Spurs on Sunday.
The Foxes’ 20-year-old French defender was in tears when he hobbled off after 20 minutes at the King Power, knowing his Euro dream was over.

The French face the Netherlands in the quarter finals in Budapest on Monday but Fofana was forced to withdraw from the squad yesterday to complete a miserable 24 hours for the youngster.
The centre-back has been outstanding since his £32million move from Saint-Etienne but felt his hamstring tighten during the pre-match warm-up.
However in the absence of Jonny Evans, Fofana gamely offered to play through the pain.
The Foxes were leading 1-0 when he was forced to quit after 21 minutes, before crashing to a 4-2 defeat without him.

“You saw how emotional he was coming off. He had given everything,” said Brendan Rodgers.
Fofana wrote on social media: “Thank you for all your support and messages, I hope to be back soon.”
