Liverpool ace Sadio Mane promises to reveal ‘special’ answer to transfer future after Champions League final

SADIO MANE has promised to deliver a “special” update regarding his Liverpool future following Saturday’s Champions League final.

The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield in the summer with his contract to expire next year.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is tied down at Anfield until 2023, leading to speculation he could leave this summer

German media have claimed that the Senegal international is leaning towards a switch to Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile it was reported earlier this month that the ex-Southampton winger is open to joining Barcelona.

And Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keeping tabs on the forward as he stalls over a new deal.

Speaking on Tuesday, Mane cast doubt over his Liverpool future after refusing to pledge his long-term future to the Merseyside outfit.

However he has now hinted he could be set to stay as he promised to give an update, but declared he wants to first do his talking on the pitch when he faces Real Madrid at the Stade de France.

Speaking ahead of the European Cup final, Mane said: “Honestly I think the answer I can give you now is I feel very good.

“And I am fully focused on Saturday’s game, that is the answer I must give before the final.

“But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It’s special. I will give you all you want to hear then.

“I love what I am doing and I sacrifice myself all the time.

“I am working hard every single day on the pitch and in the gym and I get better and better, that’s the most important.

“I am trying my best to help the team.”

Should Mane remain at Liverpool, he would be free to negotiate with foreign clubs next January regarding a free transfer.

Asked what he would do if Real came knocking, he remarked: “Ha, good question, but what I want to say now is I am fully focused on the Champions League and winning it, which is far more important for me and the Liverpool fans.

“I will do everything absolutely possible to win the game for Liverpool.”

Mane has unfinished business with Real after scoring in Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat in the 2018 final where Gareth Bale scored twice.
