Liverpool cult hero set for shock appearance on Eurovision after winning over his nation on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

FORMER Liverpool ace Ragnar Klavan is set to make a surprise Eurovision appearance.

The annual singing contest is being held at the city of Liverpool this year on behalf of war-torn Ukraine, who won last year.

Liverpool fans will see a former player making a surprise Eurovision appearance

Liverpool hero Ragnar Klavan will read Estonia’s voting results in Eurovision

This comes after Klavan competed in his country’s Dancing with the Stars

Klavan is no stranger to those kinds of competitions as he reached the final of Estonia’s Dancing with the Stars last year.

But the former centre-back won’t be showcasing his dancing skills on stage.

The 37-year-old will instead be reading Estonia’s results during tonight’s semi-final.

Klavan’s country will be represented by singer Alika and will perform alongside 15 other acts.

The former Estonia international will then reveal how his nation voted.

And he could be doing the same on Saturday when the Eurovision final takes place at the Liverpool Arena.

Klavan was one of Jurgen Klopp‘s first signings in 2016 when he joined from Augsburg.

The defender was bought for £4.2million, making him the most expensive Estonian footballer ever.

He spent two years at Liverpool and amassed a total of two goals in 53 appearances.

Klavan couldn’t establish himself as a starter at the Reds but still made Premier League history.

In January 2018, he became the first ever Estonian player to score in the Prem with a last-gasp winner at Burnley.

Klavan left soon after and joined Cagliari before returning to his country in 2021.

He played for Paide Linnameeskond until his departure last year.
