Liverpool lining up transfer for 17-year-old strike sensation Andy Elysee Logbo – dubbed the ‘new Romelu Lukaku’

LIVERPOOL are keeping tabs on Le Havre youngster Andy Elysee Logbo, dubbed the next Romelu Lukaku – reports suggest.

That is according to Foot Mercato, who report that the Reds are lining up a bid to bring Logbo over to Anfield during the summer transfer window.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is eyeing the future and the team is targeting the next Romelu Lukaku

The Merseysiders’ priority is to tie down superstar Mohamed Salah to a new contract at the end of the season as his current deal runs out in June 2023.

However, manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping an eye on the future and that is why the club is targeting the 17-year-old ace.

Klopp has seen a number of young prospects rise through the ranks during his near seven-year stint at the Kop, such as Curtis Jones, Nat Phillips, Neco Williams, Caoimhin Kelleher and Harvey Elliott.

Liverpool want to keep the ball rolling and that is why they have turned to Le Havre’s academy, which has helped create superstars like Riyad Mahrez, Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet.

The striker is seen by the second-division club as the next big thing as he has amassed eight goals and four assists in 13 appearances for the youth side this season.

Logbo has also attracted comparisons to Chelsea star Lukaku due to his imposing stature as he stands at 1,88m.

The Frenchman is often the most powerful man on the pitch and his physicality causes many problems to opposing defences.

Reports from France suggest that the versatile forward has attracted interest from various Ligue 1 clubs.

However, Logbo has also been approached from teams abroad, who have been impressed with what they’re hearing.

However, Liverpool hold an advantage as they invited him over to train with them when he was 15 years old.
