Liverpool ‘preparing improved £69m bid for Real Madrid star Rodrygo after failing in £51m transfer offer’

LIVERPOOL have not given up hope of landing Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

The Reds are reportedly lining up an improved offer for the 20-year-old wonderkid.

Rodrygo has netted twice for Real Madrid so far this season

Jurgen Klopp’s side initially bid £51MILLION for the winger but are prepared to up that by a whopping £18m.

That could be enough to tempt Real to sell after they slapped a £68m price tag on the prospect.

Reports in Spain say the Brazil international is a ‘top target’ at Anfield.

They previously tried to sign him from Santos when he was just 17.

But the hotshot went to the Spanish capital in 2019 for £40m instead.

And he has become a key part of the Madrid team since joining.

He won the LaLiga title in his first season with Los Blancos – scoring a goal in his debut within a MINUTE.

The then-teenager was hailed as a gift ‘fallen from the sky‘ by the Spanish media after scoring a Champions League hat-trick against Galatasaray.

But he has since fallen behind Marco Asensio in the Bernabeu pecking order.

Liverpool are looking for creative reinforcements with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah both heading to Africa Cup of Nations duty next month.
