But the one plus for Klopp is that midfield maestro Thiago was able to get some minutes under his belt which puts the Spaniard in contention to start.
Meanwhile, minor injuries to Mohamed Ihattaren and Owen Wijndal may force Ajax boss Alfrd Schreuder into leaving the pair at home.
However, Schreuder almost has a fully fit squad to choose from including former Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn.
