STUART DALLAS struck twice as ten-man Leeds stunned leaders Manchester City at the Etihad.

The Northern Ireland international ran onto Ezgjan Alioski’s pass to slot underneath Ederson in stoppage time.

And it was a result that was made all the more surprising by the dismissal of skipper Liam Cooper right on half-time.

Pep Guardiola sent out a much-changed City side – no doubt with one eye on Wednesday’s Champions League return in Dortmund.

But he had said before the game that Leeds were the worst team they could face between two European games – and so it proved.

Raheem Sterling fluffed the best of several early chances when he dragged his shot wide after great work by Fernandinho.

Leeds had hung in there and looked dangerous on the break, taking the lead three minutes before the interval.

Joao Cancelo made a mess of a long ball down his flank and Helder Costa and Patrick Bamford took advantage.

The Leeds forward rolled a pass into the path of Dallas whose low 20 yard shot went in off the post.

It was only the eighth time City have been behind all season but within minutes the visitors’ job got a lot harder.

Ref Andre Marriner gave a yellow card initially – but the VAR asked him to look again and he upgraded it to a red.

On seeing the replays, it was hard to argue.

City tried to take advantage after the break with Meslier saving brilliantly from Oleks Zinchenko’s low shot.

The Leeds keeper also saved from Cancelo and Fernandinho while sub Ilkay Gundogan sent a shot whistling over the angle but the visitors were creaking.

And it was no surprise when some neat build up play from Fernandinho and Bernardo Silva ended with Torres sweeping home.

Both teams had late chances with Ederson making a superb last ditch tackle to deny Raphinha as the visitors almost nicked it on the break.

And with the clock ticking down Dallas ran onto Alioski’s pass to roll beneath the City keeper and secure a famous win.

The runaway leaders had lost for only the fourth time this season – and still have work to do if they are to win the title.
