FORMER Spurs manager Tim Sherwood has slammed Manchester United ahead of their crucial clash at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
The Red Devils arrive in London still reeling from a 5-0 thrashing at home to fierce rivals Liverpool.
The crushing defeat has left boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer clinging onto his job, and a bad result could see the Norwegian sacked.
And now Sherwood has laid into the beleaguered Premier League giants – claiming they lack leaders and aren’t playing as a team.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “I think there’s a lack of leadership from Man United full stop. Weak from top to bottom.
“They look so undercooked, like they are playing as individuals, which is no good. They can all play in possession. Out of possession: what is the plan?”
When shown the highlights from last week, Sherwood also bashed Cristiano Ronaldo for his cowardly kicks on Curtis Jones.
The Portugal legend was shown a yellow, but escaped further punishment.
And Sherwood also didn’t hold back on Bruno Fernandes, who was booked for a terrible challenge on Jones.
“Poor challenge (from Fernandes). Petulance that is,” Sherwood said.
“Every chance (that’s a red). If they freeze that Jeff (Stelling), and show him (the ref) it on the VAR, he has to send him off.”
He continued: “The Ronaldo one is a red card for me. Total petulance.
“If it wasn’t Curtis Jones here…if that was (Virgil) van Dijk…he would not be doing this to Van Dijk. He’s taking liberties out of a young kid.
“Absolutely out of order and for me that is a red card. I was jumping through the screen there.”
Despite the pressure mounting on Solskjaer ahead of the evening kick off, former United star Tomasz Kuszczak has backed his former team-mate and insisted he needs “more time”.
Kuszczak, speaking exclusively to Ladbrokes, said: “Sir Alex achieved so many great things at this football club, but he only did so because he was given the time.
“There were some bad years, and then there were some fantastic years. I hope Ole gets the same chance; at the moment, for me, he’s doing well.”
Kuszczak says Solskjaer has ‘done so much for the team’ that people don’t get to see.

The former United goalkeeper added: “I know people will argue and say he’s had enough time and the club haven’t won anything in two years.
“But he’s done so much more for the team than we see on the pitch.”
He continued: “There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes that people don’t know about.
“To build something within a football team which can be sustained over a long period of time, you need to be given time.”
