TYSON FURY was celebrating last night as his beloved Manchester United returned to the Champions League.
The WBC heavyweight boxing champion of the world took to Twitter to share his joy following a dramatic final day of the season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side sealed third place and a guaranteed spot in the continent’s biggest club tournament after emerging triumphant at Leicester City.
A Bruno Fernandes penalty and a late strike from Jesse Lingard secured a 2-0 win for the Red Devils.
That 2-0 win over the Foxes was enough to see them finish above their opponents and rivals Chelsea to finish behind Liverpool and Man City in the Premier League.
And big United fan Fury could not contain his delight at the full time whistle.
Alongside a photo of Solskjaer, he tweeted: “We did it @ManUtd champions league football for us next season, #weareback #ollie.”
Fury was invited by Solskjaer to deliver a motivational speech to his squad back in February.
That came after he battled back from the depths of drink and drug issues and depression to regain his crown as king of the heavyweight division by defeating Deontay Wilder in February.
Meanwhile, Solskjaer delivered a jab to his critics after silencing his doubters with the win at Leicester.
He said: “It didn’t seem like you [the media] were expecting this – all the predictions were sixth or seventh.
“That’s alright. If I’m getting criticised that makes me stronger and makes me believe more in what I’m doing.
“Please don’t praise me too much because you can become complacent. That’s just the way I’m made.
“I was reading through them [the predictions] and some of the staff were discussing them. To finish third with this team and this squad, and where we have been with this rebuild, has been a massive achievement by everyone.
“We’ve come so far as a team, we’re building a culture. To win this game was massive mentally after losing two semi-finals this season [in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup].”

When asked whether the progress made under him proved he was the right man for the job, he added: “It’s a massive challenge.
“I believe in what I do and what I’ve been doing. We all have different ideas of management.
“I do it my way. I’m not going to say I’m not the man because I am in the job.”
