DAVID DE GEA suffered yet another embarrassing howler to gift Everton an early lead.
The Manchester United goalkeeper received a simple back pass in the third minute of the clash at Goodison Park.
But he dawdled on the ball for far too long and then his lazy clearance cannoned back off Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s foot into the back of the empty net.
De Gea could only hold his hand up and apologise for his horrendous blunder.
He did, however, make a fine low save to deny a second going in just minutes later, tipping the ball past the post.
It is the latest in a long list of errors from the Spanish international, including the major gaffe to concede at Watford in December.
In fact, no goalkeeper has made more mistakes leading to Premier League goals since the beginning of last season.
De Gea, Bernd Leno and Martin Dubravka all have seven.
And unsurprisingly, fans on Twitter were quick to lay into the £375,000-a-week stopper, who signed a new contract earlier this season.
