Man Utd get police escort to airport ahead of flight to Italy for Roma Europa League clash after security breaches

MANCHESTER UNITED received a police escort to the airport as they flew out to Italy for their Europa League semi-final second leg against Roma.

The Red Devils were afforded the extra safety measures just days after fans stormed Old Trafford causing Sunday’s Premier League match against Liverpool to be postponed.

There was an increased police presence in case of any protestors at the airport

Raging fans blocked the squad from leaving their city centre Lowry Hotel on the weekend as they tried to get their point across with players only leaving with a police escort at around 7.15pm.
