Man Utd have better win rate WITHOUT Cristiano Ronaldo this season with team-mates intimidated since his transfer return

MANCHESTER UNITED’S win rate since Cristiano Ronaldo returned is better when he is NOT playing.

SunSport can exclusively reveal Ronaldo is intimidating Red Devils team-mates with his fearsome old-school approach to training, diet and vision for the future.

Man Utd have a better win rate this season when Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t play

But the stats show that United have actually fared better WITHOUT Ronaldo in the side this term.

The 36-year-old has played in 21 games since his free transfer from Juventus last summer.

Despite scoring 14 times in those appearances, United have only won 10 of the matches.

Four have been draws, while an astonishing seven have ended in defeat.

United have also scored an average of 1.6 goals in each game featuring Ronaldo, while conceding 1.5.

And that gives the Red Devils an overall win rate of 48 per cent.

Incredibly, that increases to FIFTY per cent when Ronaldo hasn’t played.

The veteran has missed six games so far, but only one of them has resulted in defeat.

Three have been victories for United, with draws in the other two.

Meanwhile, the average goals-per-game is almost the same at 1.5.

But United have conceded considerably less with an average of just 0.7 goals against.

It now remains to be seen if Ronaldo returns to the side for Saturday’s game against Aston Villa.

Ronnie missed Monday’s FA Cup win over the Villans with a hip injury.

However, United’s performance was far from impressive and Ralf Rangnick is sure to call upon the Old Trafford legend to spark their season into life.
