SCOTT MCTOMINAY has been spotted hobbling through Hale Village on crutches while wearing a knee brace.
The Manchester United midfielder is set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines after he suffered ligament damage in the Boxing Day win over Newcastle.
The 23-year-old has to wear a huge knee brace on his right leg as he continues his rehabilitation from the injury.
He was seen alongside his father, Fred, in Cheshire when the pair popped into an estate agents on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Manchester Evening News, McTominay told photographers he is “just waiting to see” when he can return.
But Solskjaer admitted the Red Devils will be without their midfield maestro for a “few months”.
He said: “Scott will be out for a few months and that is a big blow for us. Scott has been magnificent.”
The Scotland international has been a stand-out star in the heart of midfield for Solskjaer’s side this season.
But the Red Devils need to bolster their squad in the January transfer window as Paul Pogba is also out of action.
Pogba has vowed to “come back strong” after undergoing ankle surgery, but will be unavailable for three to four weeks.
United will reportedly look to Ajax ace Donny van de Beek in their hunt for a new star midfielder this month.
Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is also set for talks with Solskjaer’s side over a possible transfer this month.
