Man Utd ready to pay 100m-plus for Jadon Sancho as Borussia Dortmund slap huge price tag on transfer target

MANCHESTER UNITED will not be put off by Borussia Dortmund’s whopping 100million-plus valuation of Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

The England international, 19, has established himself as one of the brightest talents in world football since quitting Manchester City in search of first-team chance in 2017.

Dortmund flier Jadon Sancho is one of the rising stars of European football

Old Trafford chiefs are determined to being Sancho back to the Premier League, with the Mirror claiming they will meet Dortmund’s hefty demands.

United have not been afraid to throw cash around under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – shelling out to sign defensive reinforcements Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka last summer.

But with a lack of attacking options hampering the struggling Red Devils, Sancho has emerged as a key target.

United face stiff competition, however, with former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann revealing that the Reds are also keen on the 10-cap speedster.

Speaking to Sky Germany last week, he said: “What I hear is that Liverpool have great interest.

“I would imagine that next summer they could become one of the biggest interested parties.

“He’s from Manchester City and I do not know if he would come back again, and it’s a thing for Manchester United, too, if they’ve ever been to the rivals.”

United missed two penalties in a 3-1 win over Norwich yesterday – the first time they have taken three points on the road in the league since FEBRUARY.

But Solskjaer has been dealt a huge blow with the news Real Madrid target Paul Pogba has been ruled out until December.

The club’s fans blame the Glazer family for their recent fall from grace but could soon see the Americans move on in an incredible 3bn takeover.

Well-placed sources believe Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman – whose family is worth around 850bn – wants to take on Middle East rivals like the Abu Dhabi-based owners of Manchester City.

And they think he is ready to sanction a bid by an individual or a move backed by the money of the oil-rich state to take a stake in United or, ideally, to buy the club outright.
