Man Utd star Paul Pogba set to seal Juventus free transfer this month as midfielder closes in on £7m-a-year deal

MANCHESTER UNITED ace Paul Pogba is nearing in a return to Juventus, according to reports.

The Italian giants are close to agreeing a contract with the 29-year-old worth £7million-a-year claims journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Frenchman will officially leave United at the end of this month when his contract expires.

The deal between the player and Juventus is “just a matter of final details” being completed.

PSG and Real Madrid have also reportedly been in contact Pogba but Massimiliano Allegri’s side appear to have won the battle to sign him.

Pogba signed for Man Utd from Juve back in 2016 for £89million, which at the time was the highest transfer fee ever paid.

But he never quite lived up to his potential at Old Trafford as he struggled with injuries and was often criticised by fans and the media for lacking discipline and hard work.

The World Cup winner played 232 times for United netting 39 goals and registering 51 assists.

He is reportedly set to return to Juventus where he played 178 games.

Pogba is just one of a number of Man Utd players to be leaving on a free this summer.

Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are just some all in the hunt for new clubs.

As for United, they will need to replace Pogba and new boss Erik ten Hag appears keen on a reunion with Barcelona, for Ajax midfielder, Frenkie de Jong.

Ten Hag also holds an interest in Christian Eriksen.
