Man Utd striker Edinson Cavani set to spark transfer war as Juventus join Barcelona and Corinthians in race

EDINSON CAVANI is a man with options.

The Manchester United striker is set to leave Old Trafford in search of more regular first-team football.

Edinson Cavani has made just eight appearances this season

And now reports in Italy suggest Juventus have joined a host of top clubs in the race for his signature.

Tuttosport are reporting Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri is looking for someone to lighten the load on Paulo Dybala up front.

And 34-year-old Cavani is being mooted as the perfect partner to the younger Argentina striker.

At 28 Dybala is in the prime of his career but the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to United has left him to shoulder a huge burden at Allianz Stadium.

Juve would join a long list of Cavani suitors next summer.

Barcelona are also understood to be tracking the Uruguayan, who is struggling for minutes behind Ronaldo.

New boss Xavi has a squad packed with young academy talent but is eager to add experience to the mix.

He recently brought veteran Dani Alves back to the club and is being linked with a loan move for former team-mate Alexis Sanchez.

South America has also emerged as another route out of the Premier League.

Corinthians are set to offer the ex-PSG star a ticket back across the Atlantic after a career in Europe that started at Palermo in 2007.
