MANCHESTER United and Wolves could face a Prem showdown in Germany for the chance to reach the Europa League Final.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, 5-0 up from their first leg against Austrian side LASK, are racing certainties to reach the last eight phase of the delayed competition, being played to a finish in four German cities.
And if United can then get past the challenge of Turkish league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir or Denmark’s Copenhagen, they would be in line to take on Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the last four.
Basaksehir, four points clear at the top of the Turkish SuperLig with three games to go, won 1-0 in the home first leg.
Wolves, level after their first leg with Olympiacos in Greece, will have home advantage at Molineux for the return game next month.

If they do win, then they will face either Sevilla or Roma in the quarter-finals, with United hoping to be lying in wait.
The last 16 ties will be completed on August 5 and 6.
Six of the matches, including the two involving the English sides, will see the second legs played, as planned, in teams’ home stadiums.
But the two ties that did not start because of Covid-19 lockdowns, between Inter Milan and Getafe and the Sevilla versus Roma clash, will be played as one-off ties on neutral territory in Germany.
Four cities, Dusseldorf, Duisburg, Gelsenkirchen and Cologne, will stage games.
All the matches from the last eight stage will also be decided over 90 minutes with extra-time and penalties available if required between August 5 and the final in Cologne on August 21.
The other half of the draw is likely to see Donetsk facing Basel in the last eight after both sides won away at Wolfsburg and Frankfurt respectively in their first legs.
The winner of Inter’s tie with Getafe will meet Leverkusen unless Rangers can turn round the 3-1 deficit from the first leg at Ibrox.
