Man Utd transfer blow as Real Madrid and Barcelona enter chase for Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho

MANCHESTER UNITED have been dealt a blow in their chase for Jadon Sancho with Real Madrid and Barcelona joining the fight to sign him, reports claim.

Bild in Germany say the Nou Camp club will offer Ansu Fati in return for Sancho.

Man Utd will battle Real Madrid and Barcelona for Sancho

Fati, 17, has burst onto the scene at the Barca, scoring four goals in seven LaLiga starts and he has now emerged as a top target for Dortmund.

It has been reported that he could complete a loan move to Bundesliga, with Sancho going to the Nou Camp.

Barca are thought to be unwilling to sell Fati for good, who is already rated at around £31.4million.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side seem to have gone all out to land England ace Sancho, 20.

The former Man City kid is rumoured to be on the market for £100m.

But it remains to be seen if players will really fetch that much given the financial crisis imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Still, United have reportedly offered Sancho the club’s famed No 7 shirt.

George Best, regarded by many that saw him play as the greatest ever Red Devil, swaggered to success in the iconic jersey in the 1960s.

And he has been followed by the likes of Bryan Robson, David Beckham and Eric Cantona – as well as Cristiano Ronaldo.

But it has become something of a poisoned chalice in recent years, with flops Angel Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez and Memphis Depay all wearing it.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has told those looking to buy Sancho that he will remain at the club until 2022.

He said: “We have a long-term contract with Jadon Sancho (until 2022).

“Nothing will change about that now. We are totally relaxed about it.”
