Man Utd ‘wary’ of Jadon Sancho transfer as Dortmund demand record £115m for winger

MANCHESTER UNITED are wary of committing to a record-breaking deal for Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

The Telegraph suggest Borussia Dortmund have slapped a £115million asking price on the England winger.

Manchester United are wary about completing a huge deal for Jadon Sancho

The report adds that the Red Devils are hesitant to put pen to paper on a deal that would see them break the record for the Premier League‘s most expensive signing.

United are thought to want to see how the transfer market unfolds in the current climate before making a final decision.

A deal is still likely to go ahead but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side will not finalise the move until play has restarted.

The club are keen to see which players might be available on the market before they break the bank to bring Three Lions ace Sancho back to England.

Spanish media previously reported an £89m bid from United for Barcelona’s Ansu Fati was rejected.

Dortmund have revealed they are losing patience with the 20-year-old.

The youngster made headlines at the weekend after lashing out at the Bundesliga after being fined for breaking lockdown regulations.

Sancho was snapped getting a haircut at home without wearing a mask and was hit with a fine of just under £9,000 by the German league’s authorities.

He described the punishment as an “absolute joke”.

It is not the former Manchester City academy product’s first misdemeanour after he was previously fined in October for returning late to training after international duty.

His German employers are also thought to have grown tired of his regular trips home to the UK on days off.

Sancho was previously linked with a big-money move to United’s rivals Chelsea.

But it appears the Blues have conceded Sancho is likely to arrive at Old Trafford.

Frank Lampard‘s side are expected to unveil the signing of RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner in the near future and have reportedly put a £70m bid in for another Bundesliga ace, Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz.
