MANCHESTER UNITED must reportedly pay at least 128million to sign Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez.
Mundo Deportivo claims Diego Simeone is demanding an astronomical fee to part ways with his star central midfielder.
Saul, 25, has been on Uniteds radar for some time.
And its reckoned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring him to Old Trafford as a replacement for injured misfit Paul Pogba.
However, Saul is under contract until 2026 at the Wanda Metropolitano.
And United will have to fork out yet another club-record fee if they want to secure his signature.
Saul may also take some convincing to leave Atletico too.
He has made 249 appearances since joining the club at 13 and could be reluctant to up sticks for a new challenge abroad.
United are interested in a signing a new attacking midfielder as well.
Leicesters James Maddison is on Solskjaers radar, despite being offered a new contract by Brendan Rodgers.
While Bayer Leverkusens Kai Havertz is available for 80m after also catching the eye of Liverpools Jurgen Klopp and Man Citys Pep Guardiola.
But its in attack where Solskjaer wants to strengthen first, with Inter Milans Lautaro Martinez the latest to be linked with United.
Erling Haaland is also a major target, but the RB Salzburg star could be heading to Borussia Dortmund instead.
