With a wand of a left-foot, Johannesson is lethal cutting in from his favoured right-wing.

The youngster has already racked up two caps for Iceland’s Under-21s, despite his age.

In 2018-19, Johannesson scored eight goals in just nine games for the Under-17s, still aged just 15.

But, having not made his senior debut, Johannesson could still play for ENGLAND.

Johanneson’s dad – Joey Gudjonsson – is a player many English fans will be familiar with.

Gudjonsson spent the better part of a decade in England, turning out for Aston Villa, Wolves, Leicester, Burnley and Huddersfield.

The central midfielder, now 40, retired from football in 2017 – with his last stint on British soil coming between 2010 and 2012 at Huddersfield.

But it was during his time at Villa in 2003 when he and wife Jofridur Maria Gudlaugsdottir welcomed a son to the world.

Johannesson’s dad Joey Gudjonsson played a host of English clubs, including Burnley

Isak Bergmann Johannesson was born in Sutton Coldfield – just five miles from Villa Park.

Because of that, the gifted winger is eligible to play for the Three Lions one day, should he choose to.

Football is clearly running through Johannesson’s veins too.

Not only was dad a professional player, but granddad Gudjon Thordarson was an Iceland international who later managed a host of clubs in England.

Thodarson managed Stoke, Barnsley, Notts County and Crewe in the 1990s and 2000s.

Three of Isak’s uncles all played professional football at one point or another, while a fourth turned out in the Iceland leagues.

Meanwhile, one of Isak’s cousins – on his mother’s side this time – is a team-mate of his at Norrkoping.

Now, a host of European giants are coming knocking for Isak.

Johannesson is being chased by 11 clubs according to Norrkoping’s chief scout

However, Norrkoping chief scout Stig Torbjornsen says the club are in no rush to sell.

Torbjornsen claimed: “There has been a lot of interest in Bergmann Johannesson. It’s no secret that clubs are chasing him.

“Liverpool are one of the clubs, and there are ten others as well. The best clubs in Europe have been here for him.

“There is interest when such a young guy plays so well for so long. He has performed for his national Under-21 team.

“It’s hard to say if we can keep him in January. A club with a lot of money could come along now or in six months.

“Norrkoping have a lot of money and don’t need to sell, and Isak has a sensible agent and family.

“When something comes up that is good for all parties, something will happen.”

Johannesson has scored three times in 23 appearances to fire Norrkoping to third in the Swedish top-flight with five games to play.

All eyes will now be on the youngster and whether he’ll become the third straight generation of his family to take his talents to England.
