Mesut Ozil turns Arsenal agent with cheeky tweet to Serge Gnabry after he wears Gunners kit at home

MESUT OZIL went from playmaker to match maker as he tried his hand at being an agent.

The Arsenal star, 31, shared the photo of Serge Gnabry wearing this season’s Gunners away shirt.

And the former Germany international tweeted: “Once a Gunner – always a Gunner? @SergeGnabry”

The Bayern Munich winger left the Emirates for Werder Bremen in 2016 and signed at the Allianz Arena a year later.

And with 18 goals and 11 assists to his name this season – compared to Ozil’s one goal and three assists – Gnabry had his former supporters giddy.

He decided to wear the yellow alternative kit for a virtual catch up with his Bayern team-mates during coronavirus lockdown.

But fans on Twitter were adamant Ozil was on a mission… trying to convince compatriot Gnabry to come back to North London.

One said: “What’s happening here then?”

Another tweeted: “BRING HIM HOME MESUT.”

A third replied: “Who needs Sancho when agent Mesut is bringing Serge home.”

And a final user commented: “Tears in my eyes Mesut is bringing serge back to the carpet.”

Earlier this season, Gnabry, 24, smashed a double past Chelsea to make it SIX Champions League goals in London this campaign.

And the ex-Arsenal man then goaded Blues fans by writing “London still Red” on Twitter.

Before that he’d scored an incredible four goals in one game as Bayern Munich destroyed Tottenham 7-2 in their own back yard.

Gnabry said: “I always enjoy coming back here to London – I have a lot of friends here.”

In February, SunSport exclusively revealed Bayern are still keen on Manchester City’s Leroy Sane and City want Gnabry thrown in as part of the deal.

The forward was set to tear things up for Germany at Euro 2020 this summer before coronavirus saw it moved to next year.
