MO SALAH would be ‘an honour to have’ at Bayern Munich, their boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said.

But the German chief said it’s unlikely his side will make a transfer swoop.

But Bayern boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says it’s unlikely they’ll sign him

Salah, 28, has been a key member of Liverpool’s Champions League and Premier League winning sides.

He arrived at Anfield in 2017 from Roma and has two years left on his current deal.

Rummenigge, whose Bayern side face Tigers in the Club World Cup final on Thursday, was full of praise for the Egyptian star.

He told ON Time Sports: “In my opinion, Salah is the Messi of Africa and of course he has the skills to play for the best teams in the world.

“What he has achieved can be compared to what Messi and Ronaldo did with Barcelona and Real Madrid.”

Rummenigge added: “At the moment we don’t plan on signing Salah, but certainly it would be an honour to have him.”

There were claims before Christmas that Salah was unhappy on Merseyside amid interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Salah was called ‘the Messi of Africa’

One of Salah’s closest pals, former Egypt team- mate Mohamed Aboutrika, insisted the superstar had told him he was ‘upset’ and ‘angry’ with the club.

Aboutrika also made the claim that ‘Liverpool are considering selling Salah for economic purposes’.

But Salah posted a picture of himself with a beaming smile and Liverpool have no intention of offloading him.

In a beIN Sport interview, ex-Al Ahly star Aboutrika declared: “I called Salah about his situation at Liverpool and he is upset, but that would never affect his performance on the field.

“I know Salah is not happy in Liverpool, he told me the reasons why he is not happy but they are secrets and I cannot talk about it in public.”
