Italian giants Napoli are one of the teams keen on signing the former Juventus man

Ronaldo, 37, hopes United chiefs will allow him to leave the club if they receive a suitable offer.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich are interested in acquiring the Portugal international’s services, with the latter keeping close tabs on his situation.

And Serie A big boys Napoli are also said to be keen on landing the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.

That’s according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who claims the Italians are “interested” in making a sensational swoop for United’s talisman.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be exploring the possibility of signing the age-defying forward.

Ronaldo made an emotional return to Old Trafford last summer, inking a two-year deal with the Red Devils.

But the club legend wants to prematurely end his second stint at the Theatre of Dreams in order to play in the Champions League, which United failed to qualify for last season.

Ronaldo is said to believe he has “three or four years” left playing at the highest level and is keen not to waste them outside of Europe’s elite club competition.

The Portuguese reportedly believes his future “no longer” lies with United due to the board’s decisions over the last few years.

But he won’t try to force his way out of Old Trafford due to his respect for the club.

Ronaldo was United’s top goalscorer last season, finding the back of the net 24 times and providing three assists in 39 appearances.

New Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has remained quiet on the sporting icon’s future but has repeatedly been urged to cash in on him.

United will begin their pre-season campaign with a friendly against bitter rivals Liverpool a week on Tuesday.

And the first competitive match of the Ten Hag era will see the Red Devils welcome Brighton to Old Trafford on August 7.
