Neville picks just four Man Utd players in combined XI with Liverpool ahead of Premier League title showdown at Anfield

GARY NEVILLE named just four Manchester United players in his combined XI with Liverpool.

Only Harry Maguire, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford made the cut – despite them being above their rivals in the table.

Here’s who Gary Neville picked to be in his combined XI

Neville, 45, named his dream line-up ahead of Sunday’s showdown between the two clubs.

He opted for a 4-3-3 formation with Alisson in goal ahead of United No1 David De Gea.

Maguire joined up with Virgil Van Dijk, Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold at the back.

In the midfield, United duo Pogba and Fernandes lined up alongside Liverpool star Fabinho.

Up top, Marcus Rashford was picked after scoring seven league goals this season.

Liverpool pair Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane completed Neville’s line-up.

Fellow pundit Jamie Carragher was also asked to name his combined XI this week.

The Liverpool legend named just THREE United players – with Pogba left out his squad.

Gary Neville played for United from 1992 until 2011

United are three points clear of Liverpool ahead of the crunch clash at Anfield.

Ahead of kick-off, Neville has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to play Eric Bailly with Maguire.

In a tweet to the Sky Sports pundit, one fan said: “Tell him to start Bailly Maguire and not Lindelof Maguire if he wants to beat Liverpool.”

Neville – who played for United from 1992 until 2011 – replied: “Right on it mate.”
