The matter has certainly divided fans and Gallagher‘s followers responded en masse to give their opinion of the ban.

Twitter user Ryan replied: “Punished for breaking the rules whats wrong with that.”

Dun Kun agreed with the singer, commenting: “You know it LG, win the chumps league this year and then keep the trophy.”

But Keiron rebutted: “Always the victims. They must have evidence, simple as that. Don’t cheat… Don’t get punished. Rules are rules, every club has to operate within them. Bet Noels tiny head has fallen off, somebody should check on him.”

Gusten called for Gallagher to switch his allegiance to Liverpool as a result of the ban, tweeting a Steven Gerrard gif captioned: “Come over to us Liam!”
