Odion Ighalo booted off playing field by University of Manchester womens team as they did not recognise new Man Utd ace

ODION IGHALO has been given his first red cardfrom a University of Manchester womens team.

The Manchester United forward got his marching orders during a personal training session with a conditioner.

Odion Ighalo was almost kicked off his training pitch by Manchester University’s women’s football team

While his new team-mates were being put through their paces in Spain during their recent break, the loanee from Shanghai was getting up to speed on the universitys Wythenshawe playing fields.

Ighalo stayed behind amid fears that heightened immigration control due to the coronavirus could stop his return to England.

But the Nigerian striker had to call a halt to one workout when a collection of female students turned up for their own regular training session.

They did not recognise Ighalo as Uniteds new loan signing just someone using their pitch when they had booked it for practice, so they asked him to leave.

When his identity was explained by support staff, they relented and allowed him to finish his routine with a few selfies thrown in to compensate.

One onlooker said: Nobody knew who this guy was and there was a bit of back and forth between them. The girls were pretty feisty about him being on their pitch.

The team just wanted to start their own session but it all ended amicably and a few had their pictures with him.
