NICOLAS PEPE stole a famous win for Arsenal with two stunning, late free-kicks after ex-Tottenham man Marcus Edwards helped the visitors take an early lead.
The Ivorian winger climbed off the bench to smash home a pair of brilliant set-pieces to spare Unai Emery’s blushes – and perhaps save his job.
Former Tottenham man Marcus Edwards had given the Portuguese side the lead, before Martinelli’s equaliser was followed by a Bruno Duarte strike.
But Pepe converted two free-kicks with aplomb as Arsenal grabbed all three points.
The former Lille star only joined the action with 15 minutes to go in the game – and Arsenal trailing 2-1 after an abject performance.
But he scored his first free-kick five minutes later with one of his first touches of the game, curling the ball into the far post with his left-foot.
In the second minute of three to be added on, he did it again – this time from a more central position – but the result was identical.
Top corner sparking mad scenes at the Emirates, from both Arsenal players and fans alike.
