English Clubs Eye Fati
Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham are all in the running to sign Barcelona winger Ansu Fati, who has made the decision to leave the Spanish club. This development has sparked a potential transfer scramble among the Premier League giants, who will be competing for the signature of the 20-year-old Spain international.
Rise to Stardom
Fati, who joined Barcelona at the age of nine, shot to fame as a teenager three years ago. At just 17 years and 40 days old, he became the youngest goal scorer in Champions League history. Fati even had the honor of inheriting Lionel Messi's iconic No 10 shirt when the Argentina legend left the club in 2021.
Down the Pecking Order
However, under new boss Xavi, Fati has found himself slipping down the pecking order at Barcelona. Spanish publication AS reports that the Guinea Bissau-born star now desires a fresh start elsewhere, marking a change of heart for the young player who was previously determined to earn his coach's trust. This decision comes after Fati was left on the bench for Barcelona's disappointing 0-0 La Liga opener against Getafe and was only brought on in the 79th minute.
Competition from Atletico Madrid
While Atletico Madrid is reportedly interested in signing Fati, they have not yet contacted Barcelona, giving Premier League clubs a head start in the race for the winger's signature. It remains to be seen where Fati will resurrect his career, but the English clubs will no doubt be eagerly vying for his services this summer.
