The England attacker wants more regular starts but champions City have just signed strikers Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

England attacker Raheem Sterling might ponder his Man City future as he wants more regular Premier League starts

Etihad chiefs value Sterling at £60million but he’d go for free next summer if he declined a new deal.

City chiefs have held talks with the 27-year-old over a new contract.

Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan also face uncertain Etihad futures as they too will be out of contract at the end of next season.

The ex-QPR kid hit 18 goals for City this term despite often being a sub.

And amid suggestions he’d fancy joining an elite club on the continent, former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour reckons Sterling would be perfect for Real Madrid.

Parlour told talkSPORT: “He’s in the prime of his life and career and he doesn’t play on a regular basis because Man City have got so many good players.

“So, yeah, what a move. Real Madrid have surprised everyone this year. I expected them to win LaLiga, but not the Champions League.

“Raheem Sterling would be a great signing for them. We forget he’s still only 27. He’s had a long career already, but I’m sure Pep Guardiola knows how important he is.

“He’s a big-game player and we saw that at the Euros for England.

“So if he does move on, I’m sure he’d do a great job for Real Madrid if he went there.”
