Real’s European glory came in club captain Marcelo‘s last season at the club.

The Brazilian leaves the club with 25 major honours, making him the most decorated player in the club’s history.

Marcelo confirmed his exit, saying: “This was the final step of my journey as Real Madrid player.”

Despite having a love-hate relationship with Real’s fanbase, Bale secured his fifth Champions league on Saturday.

The Welshman will depart the club when his contract expires at the end of this season.

Luka Modric will stay for at least another year.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti, meanwhile, became the most successful manager in UCL history.

The Italian has won SIX European Cups as a player and a manager.

Liverpool had a parade of their own, showing off both of England’s domestic cups.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds narrowly missed out on the Premier League and, of course, the Champions League.
