Relegated £22m star set for immediate Premier League transfer return with Everton – even though he snubbed them before

HARD-UP Everton are trying to sign Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana on loan.

The Ghana star cost Saints a club-record £22million when he joined from Rennes in January.

Saints’ wideman Kamaldeen Sulemana is tipped to stay in the top-flight

But the raw 21-year-old could not keep them in the Prem and only scored his first goals on the final day of the season, when their fate was already sealed.

Now Toffees’ boss Sean Dyche is hoping Southampton will be looking to get Sulemana off their wage bill, with the potential for a permanent signing next summer.

It’s believed Sulemana has already snubbed the Merseyside club once before – they showed interest in January only for the player to settle on Southampton.

Dyche remains desperate to add more attacking threat to his squad after they escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth last season.

He has accepted that he cannot rely on injury-prone England forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin and has already clinched the signing of Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal.

Everton are also working on a £13m deal for Sporting Lisbon striker Youssef Chermiti, 19.

But it’s understood the Toffees are close to accepting defeat in their pursuit of Leeds ace Wilfried Gnonto.

The relegated Whites resisted a £15m offer from Everton in July.

And Leeds manager Daniel Farke is battling to keep as many of his big names as possible – despite some having release clauses triggered by relegation.

Meanwhile, Dyche wants to sign at least one more attacker before Demarai Gray, 27, can secure a potential £8m move to Fulham.
