ROY KEANE has ripped into ‘dreadful’ Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta’s side laboured to a home draw with Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

Arteta, 38, was hoping to build some momentum from Thursday night’s excellent 4-0 trouncing of Slavia Prague.

But his side wilted in the spring sunshine, looking passive and ponderous for large periods against Scott Parker’s relegation threatened Cottagers.

And, never one to mince his words, Keane pointed out the Gunners’ ‘shocking’ lack of quality on Sky Sports.

At half time, with the score level at 0-0, he started: “Dreadful. It’s been dreadful.

“No quality, decision making. Players just kicking the ball out of play. Players kicking the ball to the wrong side. Dreadful.”

And, after the two sides exchanged a goal apiece in the second, Keane’s mood didn’t improve.

The 49-year-old added: “I didn’t think Fulham deserved too much more from the game. They were poor, they’re fighting for their lives.

“But the lack of quality from both teams, it was dreadful. Arsenal were even worse. God help Arsenal going forward.

“I thought they were shocking, dreadful, no quality. My goodness, Arsenal.”

Josh Maja had given Fulham the lead from the penalty spot, lifting the ball into the roof of the net from 12 yards.

But Fulham couldn’t quite hold on.

After a string of impressive saves by Alphonse Areola, substitute Eddie Nketiah finally levelled for Arsenal in the 97th minute.

The draw keeps the Gunners ninth, with their only hope of European football next season looking increasingly like winning the Europa League.

They face former manager Unai Emery’s Villarreal in the semi-finals later this month.
