Ryan Bertrand, the 34-year-old English footballer, is back training with Chelsea after eight years away from the club. The full-back, who won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2012, is currently without a club following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City this summer.

Training with Chelsea's Loan Development Squad

According to renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Bertrand is now training with Chelsea's loan development squad in the hopes of finding a new team. The experienced defender is reportedly considering offers from clubs in England, Europe, and the Middle East as he looks to progress in his career.

A Challenging Time at Leicester

Bertrand spent the last two years of his career with Leicester City, but his time at the club was marred by fitness issues. He only managed to make four appearances in the Premier League due to a knee injury that required surgery. The injury forced him to spend over 500 days away from the pitch.

Returning to His Peak Performance

Despite his recent setbacks, Bertrand is determined to return to the high levels that he showcased earlier in his career. The Englishman has represented his country 19 times on the international stage and has an impressive collection of club trophies to his name.

Impressive Track Record

During his previous spell with Chelsea, Bertrand won the Champions League, Europa League, and FA Cup. Notably, he made his debut in European competition during Chelsea's 2012 Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich. This made him the first player in history to make their Champions League debut during the final.

Following his time at Chelsea, Bertrand moved on to Southampton, where he made 240 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing 20 assists.

As Bertrand continues his training with Chelsea, fans eagerly await news of his next move and which club will secure his talents for the upcoming season.
